DEKOZELL® HYBRIDSYSTEM

State Winery Weinsberg

The sales cube of the Staatsweingut had an acoustic ceiling, but it was from the competition. The flat roof developed a leak and water damage occurred in the ceiling. The statement from the competition was that the entire ceiling would have to be dismantled and replaced in order to remove the water stain, which was only a few square metres in size–because the acoustic plaster could unfortunately not be repaired invisibly.

At a glance

System:DEKOZELL® HYBRIDSYSTEM
Project:255m² suspended ceiling as a hybrid system
with 15mm Sto acoustic panel
Architect:Mattes Riglewski Architekten, Bettina Schuster
Client:State Teaching and Research Centre for Viticulture and Fruit Growing Weinsberg

Never dismantle acoustic ceilings again.
It’s better to simply repair them invisibly.

The ceiling was also rebuilt, but the DEKOZELL acoustic plaster was chosen as the final coating at the time (2015) – because it can be partially repaired invisibly if necessary. Today, the project would certainly be carried out with our 24 mm DISTANCE-EASY system, with the DEKOZELL ACOUSTIC PLASTER simply smooth white as a seamless finishing coat. At the Weinsberg winery, however, the textured surface was used as a hybrid system with DEKOZELL plaster on the competitor’s 15mm acoustic panel.
