DEKOZELL® SYSTEM FLEXOPANEL
Foyer Augustiner-Museum Freiburg
One of the most important museums on the Upper Rhine stages highlights of art from the Middle Ages to the 19th century in a former monastery. The marvellous staircase in the foyer offers views into and through the exhibition rooms, such as the former nave with its medieval cathedral figures.

The best architecture for significant art. Calming room acoustics for people.
To make a long story short: the acoustics in the foyer area of the Augustiner Museum were unbearable. Spending the working day in the foyer was very stressful for the staff in the ticket office area. The DEKOZELL SYSTEM FLEXOPANEL was an amazingly practical solution with its layer thickness of just one centimetre and yet 50% absorption.
Despite the enormous room volume, it was possible to achieve a clearly noticeable subsequent improvement in the room acoustics using the flat acoustic plaster system on the ceiling alone. The existing luminaires are neatly separated by special end profiles belonging to the system and ‘sunk in’ by a barely visible centimetre. It would have been perfect to build the ceiling from our DEKOZELL DISTANCE-EASY suspension system from the outset.
